Happy, Healthy Santas to Run through Paw Paw

DSC_0031Paw Paw, MI –  The Paw Paw Area Rotary Club is hosting its seventh Santa Run on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.  Each paying participant receives a 5-piece Santa suit that is worn during the Run/Walk through festive downtown Paw Paw and receives a medal upon completion.  Proceeds from the Run will be used to further the Rotary Club’s efforts locally and worldwide.

The Santa Run is a fun event for participants and spectators alike.  Christmas cheer will be plentiful with so many runners all dressed like Santa, running down the center of Paw Paw.  Even with very snowy conditions, the event still had a couple hundred runners and is expecting another great year.

Younger participants can participate in the Reindeer Romp, a short course around the Paw Paw Middle School for kids 8 and under.  Participants in this event will receive reindeer antlers to wear and a medal upon completion.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in this healthy event.  The fresh air and exercise is sure to help reduce the typical holiday stresses.  The 5K Run/Walk course is 3.1 miles in length or walkers may choose to take the 1 mile route.  Strollers are welcome.  And creative additions to the provided Santa suits are encouraged!
