COMMUNITY IN SCHOOLS-JOB OPENING
Summer Associate Activities:
Summer Associates will be serving in either the Think Summer! program offered by Communities In Schools or in the Kalamazoo Public Schools Summer School. Think Summer! aims to prevent academic learning loss and maintain behavior and attendance goals established during the school year through a summer tutoring and enrichment program for students in grades 1-9.

Kalamazoo Public Schools utilizes the Summer Associates to support high quality intensive instructional activities in literacy and mathematics for students in grades 1 and 2.

It should be noted that the Summer Program Associates is a temporary, full time (40 hours/week) position. The orientation and summer programming begins June 14th and concludes August 8th.

Candidates must be available and work, Monday through Friday, for the complete summer schedule. Benefits include:a living allowance for time served ($1,646.77 for the 8 weeks) and a $1,174.60 AmeriCorps Education Award OR a $125/month summer stipend.

Immediate supervisor: Director of Advancement Services
Position Description: Primary responsibilities include the daily cashiering process of all checks and credit cards received by Advancement, data entry and file maintenance of all record keeping systems of the College’s constituent records, and the application of analytical reasoning, logical thinking and attention to detail to identify and problem solve data issues.
