Foundation awards scholarships, grants

A total of 37 high school seniors and 22 college students will receive scholarships totaling more than $28,000 to help defray the cost of their college tuition and/or books.

This year, the Education For Employment program partnered with scholarship funds established by the Fabri-Kal Foundation, Gary Rice Memorial, Irv & Alberta Cumming, TeleCity Information Highway and Eaton Corp. to supplement the awards given to student recipients.

In addition, projects proposed by eight educators will be funded by more than $5,500 in grants through the Foundation and the Kalamazoo RESA Board of Education. SEE WHO RECEIVED THE SCHOLARSHIPS,GRANTS!
