Dewey Bozella, who was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1993 and spent 26 years in prison. Bozella was exonerated and released from prison in 2009. In addition to earning many academic certificates and college degrees while in prison, Bozella trained as a boxer. He fulfilled a dream on in October 2011 when he boxed against and defeated Larry Hopkins at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. ATTEND FUND RAISING EVENT FEATURING BOZELLA!

KVCC Women’s Basketball Team VS Breast Cancer

Kalamazoo Valley’s assistant women’s basketball coach Maureen Brown said this is the third year the team has held a Pink Zone game. Donations from the event will be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center in downtown Kalamazoo and to the Terry Gillette Memorial Fund, established in memory of former KVCC women’s basketball assistant coach Terry Gillette, who lost his fight with cancer in 2010.
