KALAMAZOO (MICH)- This year’s Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations brought together community and family to honor King through music, community service and memorial events. Several organizations are continuing the message of King through March.
Other events scheduled to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. include:
Wednesday, March 30
• Heroes of Peace, 6 to 8 p.m., Room 105 WMU Bernhard Center. Five heroes of peace will be presented, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Henry Dunant, Fethullah Gülen, Nikkyo Niwano and Ralph Bunche. Event also includes an essay competition and light Mediterranean food.
