Certified Apple retailer, Simply Mac, will bring expertise to the area as the only premier Apple specialist
PORTAGE (MICH.)-After years of watching big city customers line up to get the latest product from an Apple store, Southwest Michigan can now join in the excitement. Simply Mac, a premier Apple retail and service provider, opened its 37th store and first Michigan location at the Carillion Centre 6800 S. Westnedge Ave., Suite 9, in Portage, MI.
“Simply Mac offers the same feel that you get walking into an Apple store; it’s an Apple Store with a smaller footprint,” said Vice President Pat Milligan in an interview with Community Voices. “Simply Mac allows Apple to be closer to the customers who need it the most. Milligan said SimplyMac stores are cropping up all over the country, particularly in the West Central U.S. It started with one store in Utah and within a year has grown to its 37th located in Portage. The former Regional Vice President of Sales at Kraft Foods Global, he said the beauty of SimplyMac will be its accessibility to customers.
“If you need a phone activated we have a relationship with AT&T and we can do that,” Milligan said from his office in Utah. “If you need in-home servicing to help install a product, or services for businesses, we can do that too.”
The benefit of the location and hands-on service is something Milligan feels will drive more computer users towards the purchase of Apple products. He feels many people want to try Apple products, but are intimidated with its unique aspects. However, through in-store trainings, cash for computer trade ins, quality pre-owned Apple computers and iPads, and repair services in one location, he feels more will be encouraged to make the switch from PC and get the computer they really want. In addition to the products, Milligan said the sales associates are passionate about the product and knowledgeable about everything from the iPhone to IOS.
“There are YouTube videos showing people opening their Apple products for the first time,” he said. “It’s something about getting an Apple product that gets people excited and we’re happy to be able to bring that to the Kalamazoo and Portage area.”
