Pastor and son pen book to promote Christian Education

KALAMAZOO (MICH.)-After more than 16 years of leading his congregation toward spiritual maturity, the Rev. Dr. Addis Moore and his son, Rev. Christopher Moore, have written the book, “A Biblical Model for Christian Education: The Teaching Methods of Jesus.”

The book was recently released during a book signing event at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 120 Roberson in Kalamazoo. The authors stress the importants of foundational teaching for growth in the church. Since the Rev. Moore’s leadership at Mt. Zion began in 1995, the church has grown from 100 attending Sunday school to more than 700 a week and growing.

Information in the book states that it is designed to, “achieve Kingdom results and church growth through biblical application, using the Teaching Methods of Jesus.”

The workbook-style format highlights such area as, “Using the Proper Aim,” “The Parameters of Jesus’ Teaching,” and “Particulars of Jesus’ Teachings.”

“We have found at Mt. Zion Church of Kalamazoo, Mich., that Christian Education is the lifeblood of our church,” according to the book jacket statement. “Christian Education undergirds everything that happens at our church.”
