Pet owner creates comic of dog’s antics

An exclusive Community Voices Debut!

Patricia Clark poses with her dogs and the unique Prince Osito.

Patricia Clark is an animal and nature fanatic who loves to laugh. While she and others enjoyed the comic character of her dog, Prince Osito, she has taken it to a new level.

Nearly every day for seven years people came up and asked her questions or commented on Prince Osito.

“They would say  how beautiful and expressive, almost human-like, his eyes are. And ask  what
breed is he, and how much he looks like a teddy bear. This is what led me to name him Osito, which means “Little Bear” in Spanish,” said Clark.

Clark, along with artist Chad Sutton (both of Kalamazoo)  have created a character of Prince Osito and have created Ositocomics.com.  Each comic chronicles the misadventures and exploits of Prince Osito, the dog, and are all based on the true events of this amazing, hilarious dog.

Prince Osito will be a regular feature in Community Voices.

“Osito does some of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. So, being the animal lover
I am, I wanted to share with other animal lovers our outrageous adventures,” Clark added.

The comics will be regular features on her website and exclusively in Community Voices, www.comvoicesonline.com .

Keep up with the antics of Prince Osito at:  www.ositocomics.com!

Community Voices was founded in 2005 by James and Arlene Washington in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The weekly print publication provided a unique opportunity to inform the multicultural community of news important to them. In addition, it provided an affordable advertising source for small businesses in the community.
