The Black Arts and Cultural Center helped the community welcome Belinda Tate as the new director of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Tate, a native of Winston-Salem, N.C., shared of her passion for getting more members of the community into the Institute. She is the first African American director of the KIA.
