WEST MICHIGAN- Ever wonder what happened to those who leave Kalamazoo to follow their dreams? Well, in this Winter edition of Community Voices, we followed students who have gone on to Make it Happen in their passions and dreams toward the arts.

We asked you to let us know of any area residents who should be profiled and we had so many great suggestions! Because we had so many to select from, we have decided to make this Make it Happen feature a regular in our print magazine this year which is dedicated to the theme, “Make It Happen!”

This issue contains a quiz of Michiganders  who have gone on to monumental fame. See if you can find out what city they are from. A feature on Macedonia Baptist Church’s (Battle Creek) new recording studio is featured along with the dancers of AGW Studios.

Check out our issue by clicking on our banner on the Home page, or the magazine link here!

And, let us know of any others you may know who have gone on towards great success in Business, Education, and Sports as they will be featured in upcoming issues.

Check out the rest of the stories here online and in our print magazine!

Community Voices was founded in 2005 by James and Arlene Washington in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The weekly print publication provided a unique opportunity to inform the multicultural community of news important to them. In addition, it provided an affordable advertising source for small businesses in the community.
